ESPAS. Project Feasibility Study (FP7). Business plan drafting to support the feasibility study of a space data electronic management system. ESPAS (European Commission Number 983676).

ESPAS research program objective is to develop an electronic access system for processing and disseminating data from space-observing scientific collecting equipment, operating either on terrestrial observatories or in spaceships and satellites. All data refer to scientific observations in near Earth space and are provided by public research centers and universities in Europe and the US. The electronic system will provide a set of services and tools to facilitate access to these data, scientific processing and exploitation. The ESPAS system consists of a central platform and nodes-providing data, operating in more than 20 research centers and universities in EU and the US. The ESPAS system is addressed to users from the academic world (researchers, graduate and post-doctoral students working on developing near geo-space characteristics’ forecasting models) and business/private sector (international space agencies satellite telecommunication companies, civil aviation agencies, civil protection agencies, navigation and surveillance systems through LEO, MEO, GEO, etc. satellite systems).
