The project consisted of evaluating the Action of introducing the second foreign language in Primary Education. Specifically, under the Action, students in six-and higher grade Primary schools were taught German or French for two hours a week. Key objectives of the Action were:
- Reducing social inequalities, due to participation of some students in foreign language schools.
- Familiarizing students with multilingualism and multiculturalism.
- Providing a long time of teaching foreign languages, in order to reach a certifiable level of language command by the end of compulsory education.
