The Action related to supporting and strengthening the institution of specialized education for inclusion of students with disabilities and/or unique educational needs in public education schools, through specially trained teachers supporting students in the classroom alongside the class teacher. In this context, these teachers completed teaching time in parallel support of other students and/or remedial teaching (N.4264/2014, Article 46). The staff was formed, supported and advised scientifically by appropriate structures. This type of specialized educational support of persons with disabilities is a practical approach towards their social inclusion in public school classrooms and the school community in general, effectively improving accessibility in society and tackling social exclusion.
